The Mercer University School of Engineering in Macon, Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Electrical Engineering, starting in August 2024.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach various Electrical and Computer Engineering Department courses. The ideal candidate should also have the ability to support Mercer University’s signature Mercer On Mission Program (http://mom.mercer.edu/), which offers faculty unique opportunities to develop and lead sustainable international service and research projects, carried out with Mercer students and host-community collaborators.
Mercer’s undergraduate engineering program is ABET/EAC accredited using a core curriculum model. The School of Engineering offers both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Engineering degrees, with specializations in biomedical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, industrial, mechanical, and software, as well as engineering-related programs in technical communications, cybersecurity, industrial management, and environmental systems. The undergraduate curriculum is dynamic, innovative, broadly based, and includes the option of an integrated BSE/MSE degree program for qualified candidates. Total engineering enrollment is over 750 students.
Qualifications:
A B.S. in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with an applied research agenda
A commitment to an academic culture that is inclusive of a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff, and
Selection of the final candidate is contingent on a successful background check.
